In questi anni
di lavoro ho avuto modo di misurarmi con vari stili
di disegno. Per comodità li ho suddivisi
per generi e cioè: Bonelli
artwork (italian comics), American
Way of comics, Disney
Style.
During those
years of work I was given the possibility to experience
different drawing styles.
For my convenience, I classified them in different
genres: Bonelli
artwork (Italian comics), American
way of comics and Disney
style.
American
way of comics
Sono stato molto influenzato dal fumetto americano,
sin da bambino. Dal Thor e i Fantastici quattro
di Lee&Kirby
al Conan di Buscema,
dagli Xmen di Claremont&Byrne
al Batman di N.Adams
ed il Superman di Swan,
dal Tarzan di Manning
a a quello di Kubert.
Per arrivare alla produzioni più recenti
della Image e Topcow di Lee,
Silvestri
, Campbell
e tanti altri. Ho sempre apprezzato la freschezza
e dinamicità del fumetto made in USA. Quando
mi autopridussi “The
Witch” ed i “Sunglasses”
con la mia etichetta indipendente Seagull
Comics nel 1996 adottai infatti uno stile
“giovane” alla Gen13.
American
way of comics
I have always been very influenced by the American
comics, even in my childhood. From Lee&Kirby’s
Thor and Fantastic four to Buscema’s
Conan, from Claremont&Byrne’s
Xmen to N.
Adams’ Batman and Swan’s
Superman, from Manning’s
Tarzan to Kubert’s
one. And then straight to the more recent ones by
Lee’s
Image and Topcow, Silvestri,
Campbell
and many others. I have always appreciated the freshness
and dynamic power of the comics made in USA. When
I decided to produce “The
witch” and “Sunglasses”
by myself, with my independent label Seagull
Comics in 1996, I adopted the “young”
Gen13
style.
Disney
Style
Dopo l’esperienza con Tiramolla,
di cui vi mostro alcune tavole, ebbi modo di frequentare
il grande G.B.
Carpi alla Disney
Italia. A quel tempo stava impostando quella
che sarebbe diventata l’Accademia
Disney. Tutto era promettente, ma si andava
troppo per le lunghe, mi ero sposato ed avevo avuto
un figlio e perciò era un’ urgenza
“realizzare” economicamente… però,
come si usa dire… impara l’arte e mettila
da parte! Le tavole che vi mostro sono il risultato
di studi su alcuni dei più famosi personaggi
Disney, tra i quali, quella che preferisco è
certamente la Sirenetta.

Style
After the experience with Tiramolla,
of which you can see some drawings, I was given
the possibility to meet the famous G.B.
Carpi at Disney
Italia. In that particular period he was
about to set up the future Disney
Accademy. But things were going on too slowly,
and when I got married, I realised that it was time
to make some money too. Nevertheless, I continued
my studies on many different Disney characters as
you can see from the drawings I present. The character
I prefer is The
little mermaid.
